I’ve tried many sunscreens. I often pick them because of the price because none of them really make me happy. Even the lightest ones still feel thick and greasy. And I don’t like the smell of any of the sunscreens.
After reading reviews, I decided to try La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid. I applied before riding bicycles and going to walk on the beach during my vacation in Sanibel Island.
It’s perfect for my combination-oily skin type as the advertised. I don’t see any shininess on my face at all. It was absorbed right away. It works very well and I like it a lot.
Only one thing – it’s a little pricey for the small bottle, but it’s worth it. The quantity might be insufficient if you often do outdoor sports or frequently enjoying outdoor activities.
I want to talk about my favorite brand, Aveeno. I have been a fan of Aveeno since I came to the US. At first I used regular sunscreen and my skin got irritated and itchy until one time I had to go to Immergency Room. I had to pay $200 to find out that I can’t use any sunscreen with PABA. One of my friends recommended using Aveeno because some of her family members also had the same problem. That’s how Aveeno became part of my life.
I started with Aveeno Daily Body Moisturizer, Sunscreen, Intense Relief Hand Cream, Eye Serum, Facial Cleanser and now I’m using Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF15. I’m using as my daily facial moisturizer only when I’m working in the office. I like it because it’s oil-free, hypoallergenic, which is perfect for my allergy issues. I feel it’s not greasy and is absorbed fast. It made my skin soft and moist all day long. It’s perfect even during summer. I have combination/oily skin so I don’t apply too much on nose area.
What I like the most about Aveeno is that their products are unisex and gentle enough so we can apply even when our skin is sensitive and irritated. Both my husband and I can use together and get a great deal for 2 packs at Costco or nearby drugstores.
Sorry for the lack of recent reviews, I spent a month in Thailand on vacation. I went up north to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and visited Phu Chi Fah. The sea of mist there in the mountains is so beautiful it’s really amazing. I got to eat lots of sticky rice, chiang mai noodles, namprik noom, namprik ong, and more. What a great time.
During this trip I also had a chance to meet Maree who’s a local beauty expert. She suggested that I try BB wonder Cream. It’s just perfect for me because I’m lazy and don’t like to put on much makeup or foundation.

I have a combination-oily skin and always shiny on my t-zone area. I don’t like using liquid sunscreen because most of them tend to be greasy and oily. It’s tough to touch up after you applied foundation during the day. I love using blotting paper to absorb excess oil during the day. After using blotting paper on t-zone area, the sunscreen is also swept way. I need to put more sunscreen on. Colorescience Sunforgettable SPF 20 is mineral sunscreen powder, so it is the perfect way to retouch without feeling greasy and it blends well with foundation that I already put on.
I have a yellow skin tone so “perfectly clear”sunforgettable one is just perfect for me. After applying on my face, I notice that the t-zone is not shiny anymore. It blends well with the foundation and looks very natural. What I like the most about this product is that I can apply and I’m ready to go out. No need to wait for 20 minutes like other sunscreens.
Furthermore, this is perfect to use on easy day like weekend. I just want to step out to buy groceries and I’m too lazy to put on foundation, so I just apply this mineral powder sunscreen after letting the moisturizer dry. This sunscreen powder is tinted so I feel like my face is covered even though I didn’t put on foundation. I have been using it for a month. It’s always in my purse. It’s just so convenient. When my husband and I forget to apply any sunscreen on some area, I just apply a quick few brushes on my hand, neck area, ears, under eye area. It’s not messy, not greasy and my husband doesn’t complain! I just love this product!
